RISE
A season built on the idea that we move upward together.

Seven ensembles. Five concerts. One year of upward motion.
RISE plays out across seven auditioned ensembles and five concerts. Chamber Choir opens to singers ages 16–25 for the first time. PYC singers perform with the Oregon Symphony three separate times across the season. And in July 2027, Pacific and Chamber travel to Powell River, BC for PYC's first international competition appearance — the season's final destination.
Season 24 is shaping up.
Here's what's new.
Chamber Expands
Chamber Choir becomes a bridge into adulthood.
For singers who've grown up at PYC, graduation has always meant goodbye. Not anymore. Starting in Season 24, Chamber expands to ages 16–24 — a continuous artistic home where your singer's choral life keeps going long after high school ends.
First International Tour
Pacific and Chamber travel to Powell River, BC.
In July 2027, Pacific and Chamber compete at the Kathaumixw International Choral Festival — PYC's first international appearance, alongside choirs from around the world.
One Cascadia
The full middle school ensemble, together every week.
Next season, all middle schoolers come together as one Cascadia ensemble — with expanded sectional time, more refined repertoire, and a new applied musicianship curriculum we've been piloting in high school. The result: a tighter, more challenging middle school experience designed for developing voices.
The Concerts
Five concerts across the season.
Radiance
Warm, gathering repertoire to mark the arrival of winter together. The season's first full moment of community — light, cohesion, the choir gathering itself in.
PYC Holiday Celebration
Every PYC singer on one stage. All seven ensembles gather at Trinity for a warm, family-priced concert across the full community.
Illuminate
The season's artistic centerpiece, anchored by Elaine Hagenberg's Illuminare. Pacific and Chamber, joined by chamber orchestra, take the Winningstad stage for an evening of sustained musical architecture and elevated technical ambition.
Horizon
Visionary, forward-facing repertoire across the full choir. The season closes with momentum realized — and the runway into PYC's 25th anniversary year.
Nova Spring Concert
An intimate concert celebrating our youngest singers. Nova 1 and Nova 2 close their year at Trinity — a community moment to honor and celebrate a tremendous season of growth.
The first time my daughter walked onto the Trinity risers, I cried in the back row. Then she did it again.
